BEWARE: "Bait & Switch/Rope-a-dope" robo-call starts as a $500 gift card to a major retailer in my "area" which surprisingly left me a voice mail message and the callback number worked (not spoofed for once)! After pressing "1" to connect with a human to collect my winnings, a fast talking first level "customer service" rep congratulates me on being the only phone number chosen to WIN! She informs me later that i will only need to pay a "handling" charge of $2.95. So I proceed to give her my fake: name, address, AMEX CC #, exp date, AND CVV! I kept her on the phone as long as i can by repeating numbers back incorrectly, giving her an interesting wrong address (FBI field office), etc, etc. Finally after doing her job at getting my CC and personal (albeit, fake) details, she THEN transfers me to the 2nd level, who informs me that the call is being recorded -> I assume to set me up for the "rope-a-dope" automatic UP SELL which is now a MANDATORY purchase to receive my (no longer major retailer $500 gift card) but NOW its: "$500 worth of digital certificates and COUPONS" with the $19.99 one-time purchase of the "photo snap butler" ( photosnapbutler.com ) and then fast-talks me into agreeing to the purchase with "i guess so if i am forced to, to get my winnings") which she immediately corrects me subtly with, "coupons and sales certificates worth $500!) as a way to "legitimize" the charges on my fake card. After allowing me to be wishy-washy for a long while I change my accent and start my chastising and shaming her for this obvious scam. She quietly takes it then we get disconnected... If (hopefully not!) this is how the "photosnapbutler" company uses third-party call-centers for forced and/or coerced sales, they should investigate and revisit their immediately! Of course the item being "sold" could have been any WIDGET which would never be shipped...
Stop harassing me! Robo Spam Caller. They call at the minimum 5 times a day. They say I visited their website and I've won a $100 gift card. I haven't visited any website. "Press 1 to be connected and receive card, press 2 to be removed".
I have been getting same call from this number. The robo caller says that I visited a web site and that I have won a "FREE" $100.00 dollar gift card. I have not been any web sites and there is nothing free today. Sick of these calls coming in.
