Finally today someone was on the other end. Heavy middle eastern accent, he kept saying "Medical Compensation" over a medication and was I taking any one of a list of medications he ran off. I asked him if he worked for an attorneys office and he said yes (of course it was a leading question) then I asked him what country he was calling from and his response was "oooohhhh God". I'm sure this is a scam of some sort.
Answered and someone with a very heavy accent started speaking, I could not understand him so I told him to call back when he learns to speak english and hung up on him.
I've been getting many calls recently from people telling me they're with a medical compensation board. Sometimes they're inquiring about my recent surgery (I haven't had surgery) and medications I'm on. Sometimes they claim to be with the government offering me a no-strings-attached grant that I don't have to repay. The caller has become quite rude when I press him on what agency he's with and eventually hangs up on me. Whenever I ask them politely to take my name & number off their list, they hang up on me. I'm on the do not call list and I don't think these callers are telemarketers but are phishing for info. Here are other numbers that keep harassing me, in case you'd like to block them as I have:
1 (222) 222-2245
1 (323) 315-0033
1 (407) 939-5277
1 (410) 454-0871
1 (443) 833-3064
1 (516) 457-8585
1 (727) 270-8005
1 (786) 540-1821
1 (917) 400-9461
I never answer unfamiliar numbers, especially outside my area code. This one left me a 3 second voice mail and didn't say anything. So tired of spam callers.
They kept calling daily and asking about medications I may have taken, so I started calling them and asking them for random information daily and they were not very happy..
