8/29/17 9:54 PDT Called while I was out and left a recorded message saying something about Apple support and that I should call the number others have reported above. I have absolutely nothing connected with Apple and have now blocked this number. The ID was Tarpon Spgs FL.
Caller ID, Tarpon Sprgs Fl. Recorded voice, hack of icloud, don't use apple devices until call to 866 area code number. I don't have icloud account or apple devices, scam.
They left 4 messages on my home phone saying not to use my apple devices until I talk to apple care. Prees 1 or call us back at 1-866-978-6505. I called apple care and they said it was not them and to ignore the call. They took down the information.
It is a scam!
They called 4 times in 1 min., luckily I never heard the phone and the only apple I have is sauce. Thanks to everybody above for letting me know what it's about.
My heart skips a beat every time these [***] call. (Elderly parent in poor health is in area code 727) This # never leaves a message and is apparently some kind of Apple device scam.
