At first I was very worked up, then my wife got home and calmed me down. They told me to get a "taxpayer voucher" from Safeway and then read them the voucher number all while staying on the phone line. His name was "Chris Evans" and then I called back and "Chris Evans" (same voice) was now "Robert Mathews". I went to the irs and reported this number.
Three calls from this number saying that he is calling about criminal charges and to call back immediately or face a grand jury. Odd that he didn't identify a person that he was trying to reach.
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
