I received a call from 727-330-3294 and a very friendly woman starting asking me about my vehicle, how many miles, etc. I believe she was trying to sell a vehicle warranty. I told her I had purchased a warranty when I bought the car and before I could say please take me off your call list, she hung -up! I called the dealership where I bought the car and was told they don't sell any customer information but information can be obtained from Ford, GM, Chevrolet, etc!
They call and make it sound as if they are someone you know...calling you by your first name, etc. They claim to be "working with car dealers"...then started asking about your vehicle insurance information and mileage...made it sound as if they were in possession of your deductibles, stacks, and other insurance parameters. They never identified who they were working for. Sounds as if the dealer I bought my last car from sold my information!! I just hung up on them.
Identical to Will .. called about something regarding my auto processing .. have not looked at purchasing a car and current car is paid for ... thought is that it is a "process server" attempting to locate correct address for a debt collections company ...
