Phishing for credit card info. Wanted to verify credit card info, identified it by first digit only. Used story about renewal to magazine. Confirmed with magazine ( do have a subscription) this was case of fraud.
Talked my elderly father into giving them his credit card number to pay for magazine subscriptions for me. They charged it for magazines never asked for and that I never received. Multiple predatory attacks over a period of several years. Harassing tactics, e.g. "If you don't pay now, the price will go up."
