Hmmm. Guy started off as a polite enough cold caller, but after his 3rd call, he got a little snippy with me.
He'd called an asked for 2 different executives, and got dumped into voicemail both times. He then called back, asking for someone that I've never heard of. When I told him that, he argued back with me, SUPER attitudey, "Well, I have him listed as the director of such-and-such."
We don't have such a position....I told him again, I haven't heard that name.
"Well, I'm looking at a business card from 2014!"
I was definitely here all of 2014, and I haven't ever heard that name. He then tried pronouncing it differently, as if somehow that would change what I had said.
He gave up eventually, and asked for an executive in charge of marketing.
I told him that without a name, I can't transfer him. He promised to call back once he had checked the internet.
Checking his own linkedin profile, it appears he's just a media marketing guy, cold calling in an attempt to drum up business.
