If you've used Vision Works for testing or something, it could have been calling you to say you're due on a test or something. Not a telemarketer and silly reason to say you're disgusted with them. I would assume, too, that they have your number from you putting it on any documents you had to fill when signing in. I could be wrong, though. Who knows.
My wife just got a call from this number on her cell phone. Her phone has a Miami area code. The voicemail was an automated announcement reporting that the eye doctor's office--just down the road from us--had moved. The doctor's office is collocated inside of the VisionWorks store there. Seemed like a broadcast message to all customers they had on file.
My cell phone was ringing while I was transporting my 5 y/o granddaughter home in a rain storm. I struggled to answer thinking it was my daughter calling about her daughter. I am very disturbed and disgusted that this vendor got my cell phone number and could have caused a crash. Like the other reports, the recorded message was something about an eye exam. I'm going to report this to Consumer Protection.
