This is my Brighthouse phone that I exclusively use for my security system and fax machine. My caller ID showed over 70 calls last night that lasted until Midnight and they started again at 4:15am this morning. I'm assuming the calls are from people that my phone called and they're calling me back. I finally answered a call and the women was convinced I was having an affair with her husband. I have not phoned anyone and have reported this to Brighthouse but have not heard back from them. I apologize for any inconvenience these phone calls may have caused.
It's an energy audit company (sunshine state energy audits or something like that). Scam. They tell you it's a free energy audit, but free means when they come there "all decision makers" must be present for their "free evaluation". Translation? It's a high pressure sales pitch. My wife told them they could come on Saturday and I didn't find out until after I got home from work. Calling back the number gets you nowhere - they don't answer.
Thank you for your post. This is my number. I did not call you and apologize. Brighthouse is giving me the run-around. I am receiving several hundred calls all day long for the last several days. They are now saying they need to come out to my house and think somehow, someway, lines were crossed. Like I did something. I've asked them to disconnect my phone.
It appears my home phone has been "Caller ID Spoofed." If anyone can provide more information in regard to the company calling you with my caller ID... it would be greatly appreciated. Again, I sincerely apologize for the unsolicited calls that appear to be coming from my phone. Thank you.
This is my home number that has been compromised by what I've determined is "Called ID Spoofed" by someone else. I resorted to totally unplugging phone/fax due to the hundreds of phone calls I'm receiving 24 hours a day.
This is (was) my home phone number and is a victim of Caller ID Spoofing. If anyone can take the time to report a call to the FCC, I would appreciate it. You can call 888-225-5322 or file a complaint on line at www.fcc.gov/complaints. You will need to report the date and time of the call. Unfortunately, I can't file a complaint on being spoofed. Thank you.
