She wanted to talk to someone who handles our Government Bids and she usually speaks to the President or Owner of the company. Oh... my response. Remove our number from your list- then I hung up.
Sick and tired of marketing companies.
A lady called me from this number. She just asks for the "President or CEO of the company". I tell her I cannot transfer her through without a contact name. She doesn't get it, tells me her name, which I have now forgotten. I give her an email where she can send information/materials. She says, "well this is more of a marketing call". In the end she took the email. She wasn't rude, it was just a very strange way of trying to get business I thought, she didn't even know who she wanted to talk to.
I also just recv'd a call from this number stated she was calling ragarding federal governement bids. When I asked her bidding for what? She tells me no , this is a no biding contract with the government. I then explained but BIDDING FOR WHAT? no bidding, or bidding what are you talking about> Since we do work with the governement I tried to transfer her to the person in charge of that department but she insisted on speaking with the president... when she just couldnt break me, she hung up on me. Tried calling back but it rings busy. She was very rude and persistant.
This is a nasty person who continues to call me and harass my small business due to us telling her NOT TO CALL.
She said it did not matter that we were not on the do not call list and proceeded to call use profane language. She will not stop calling now.
>> She said it did not matter that we were not on the do not call list <<
That part, at least, is correct.
The DNC list is NOT for business phone numbers.
Evidently you did not read the information at
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registry
which includes this statement:
"Can I register my business phone number or a fax number?
The National Do Not Call Registry is only for personal phone numbers. Business-to-business calls and faxes are not covered by the National Do Not Call Registry."
Probably time to buy a call blocker device, app, or phone.
Google "call blocker" to see the various types, and find one that best meets your needs.
