Got a call from "Tech Aid" telling me they show my computer downloading large amounts of data. Asked me when I checked my logs last, and asked her which logs. She said error. I am an IT guy, so I tried to get more specific, and she had no clue. I finally hung up. This is a fraud.
I got a call from this "company" today, I obviously did not answer as I do not answer calls from numbers I don't know. They left a Voicemail saying "Alysha... Hello..." "Alysha....Hello..." about 3 or 4 times, then the call was disconnected. I'm not sure what this is about, but I have now registered my phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry
I answered. I was asked if I was the owner of this telephone #. I answered why? And she identified her name as mine, odd. Then asked if I knew that there were unwanted files being downloaded to my computer? This is the 2nd time I have received this type of call. I said I don't trust this call, said bye and hung up.
one of many calls i get i don't answer them i google the no.s if legit i'll call back if not i ignore it since i started not answering the phone the calls have been less this no. is a new one and a new one with the area code 817 is from india just don't answer just google it saves a lot of peace of mine they are just idiots
