These scammers want you to think that they are Google. They are not and have nothing whatsoever to do with Google. They will try to convince you that if you have a business, unless you pay them, your listing on Google searches will be dropped and people will think that you went out of business. This is absolute bunk. I have been getting calls like this for years and my business still shows up on Google, at or near the top depending on key words. These people have no control of how anything shows up on Google. They simply want to take your money and give you nothing. This is "theft by deception" also known as a scam. The number that shows up on caller ID (New Jersey) is spoofed. They are without doubt overseas. The funds they steal may go to terror groups.
