Received call from a guy named Dorian Peterson who said he was calling on behalf of the Children's Cancer Society. Was looking for a donation and I declined him and said I am not giving to any charities. Was persistent and tried to go low as $15 but said no. Finally I hung up. Know this is a bogus charity and will not bother with them and give to only a local charity I know.
These dirtbags are certainly persistent in addition to being sleazy and stupid. As noted above, this is a "fundraising" pitch for one of the slimiest scam charity groups around. As others have pointed out they also have a tendency to call quite early in the morning. While not illegal I don't think many people enjoy being pestered while trying to get ready for work (these shambolic fundraisers should try getting real jobs) or worse yet, woken up. I can't count the number of times this krapazz organization has called me or how many different numbers and sham organizations they've used. Perhaps the Do Not Call list needs to be updated to prevent turds like them from calling.
Children's Cancer Society. Asked for me by name. I told them I wasn't home. She said she would call back. Good luck, BLOCKED. They use things like Children's Cancer or Pets getting beat to make you feel sorry. Don't fall for it!
