Caller ID says "Out of Area" Female, robotic sounding voice claiming the IRS has filed a lawsuit against us. Bogus. Thankfully I have call block options on my phones. What will I do when I run out of space? I have so many bogus numbers stored in there now.
Did you call the number back or get a human when you answered? I've been getting calls from this from multiple numbers and multiple times a day but it's always the robot voice, not a person for me to yell at.
Why is there no "Scam" as an option fro call type? There really needs to be some place to report these people besides sites like this. This doesn't help stop these people though and in the past 3 days I've received calls from 3 different numbers, same message and at least twice each day, except 3 times so far today. I'm really sick and tired of this BS about scammers calling, companies calling me even though I'm on the Do Not Call Registry. You have to tell them to stop calling you and then they tell you it may take them 2 weeks to remove your name so you may get calls from them up until that time. No, it shouldn't take 2 weeks in this day and age of computers, and if I tell you NO now, you damned well better not be calling me again to try to sell me the same crap next week. Same thing with charities, they are exempt from the Do Not Call list but you can demand to be removed, but they just call back as another charity, or tell you "oh there's no note to remove you". I had one charity call me 5 times in 3 weeks wanting money and each time they told me there was nothing showing that I requested they remove me. Last call was from the same guy who called the first time, I recognized his voice and same exact spiel...
