They are legitimate. They are from India, thus hard to understand. But they have sent me twice on contract to a very good corporate headquarters office in Dallas (Plano) TX, as admin assist for $16/hour. I don't remember them asking for the last four of my social on the telephone. They sent me papers that were filled out electronically. You are well to be careful these days, but this worked out for me.
unfortunately scams are all around us, and get worse when times are hard. I DID work for mindlance in Dallas (Plano) at a large well-known company corporate office. Not sure WHAT about being sent to no where, but I was sent on a legit interview and worked temp there two times for $16. Still, be careful we must. The number I reach them at is 732-414-7872. I'd be leary of that 610 number.
As I stated in earlier posts, I have worked legitimately for Mindlance. Just last week (October 6, 2015), I was working for Mindlance in Dallas (Plano) at a very large well-known corporate office near 121 & Legacy! (If you are local you may know which corporate office I am talking about.) I had given Mindlance my updated resume and filled out their paperwork as they requested (they found me on Career Builder). They are a minority (India) placement agency. They work out of New Jersey and Houston. They used to have a Dallas Office (Richardson), but no now closest office is Houston. The number I always contact them on is 732-414-7872 out of New Jersey. I hope this helps you. you are right to be leary of telephone offers from foreign people, but for what it is worth, it have worked contract assignments for them twice at the same large corporate office. The first assignment was 1 month, and the second was 3 weeks. I'd love to work there permanent, as it was a GOOD JOB WITH DECENT PAY, but the company had a MAJOR layoff in 2012, and they are not hiring full-time people, just contract workers, to keep their costs down. Well, that's it. Sorry they don't have more info on the web, but it worked out for me.
Ohhh...so they're a employment agency, huh. I was just curious. I got a voicemail the first thing this morning and the whole thing was just hold music or something. Just an FYI...I'm in the job markett too and have my resume up on the job portals. I also get calls from these agencys like Rose International and Collabera, etc....and yes...they all have thick Indian accents..but all the ones I've come across arent trying to scam you...they're hard working and just trying to find you a job.
