Received a call at work asking if we received the insert in the PSEG bill about lower rates and that they needed approval. She said they were PSE&G and even when I asked her directly if she was actually calling from PSE&G she said yes and that they weren't a third party company, She wanted information from my bill and I started to give it to her, then she switched me to a verifier, but then said I wasn't the one to do this and they would have to call back. They did not seem too happy about that that. They really wanted this to go through and were quite anxious to get me to transfer them to someone else. Directly after the call I called PSEG and they said it was a third party company, that PSE&G doesn't do that. If there's a reduction it just takes effect. So basically this woman lied right to me, more than once. This tactic is so sneaky and deceptive. Beware!
EXACTLY - heed this warning. My caller was aggressive, rude and persistent. DO NOT give them any information. They are third part and crooks. They are CLEARLY violating FTC laws and regulations.
