This is a new one. Land line rings, caller ID shows "GreenAndClean", do not recognize (even though from my area code), do not answer, rolls over to voice mail. Robo-dial computer does not realize it is on an answering machine, and continues on it's spiel about eco-friendly rug cleaning, other house cleaning, yada, yasa. Wraps up with "since you've been so good for listening, we'll clean your hallway for free! Press 1 to schedule an appointment". At this point, I'm thinking maybe this is legit, but it disconnects without leaving a call-back number, sure sign the caller ID is spoofed. Can't wait to figure out what this scam is... maybe they ask you for a credit card number to guarantee your "appointment".
An extensive search of local business directories does not turn up any business within 50 miles called "Green And Clean", and the only source that turns up a match on the number is the phony "Hodges Directory", which is all fake names.
