Just received a call from this number on my cellphone. Upon my answering it I heard a woman's voice say hello, and then hung up. After reading the comments above, I will not be answering calls from this number.
Gruff man mumbled his name asked for JCP&L account holder by NAME. Asked who he was again. He asked AGAIN if this was the account holder (by NAME). I replied we don't give out information to an unknown caller. This snake replied that he already said his name. At that point I asked for the COMPANY NAME which he did not give and--as if I have an
obligation to tell him anything, again demanded to know if i was the NAMED ACCOUNT HOLDER. At that point I said Listen buster, i'm not giving you any information until you identify the business you represent. He hung up.
I called the Account Holder at work and learned the account is paid up to date, and in fact expects the the new bill to arrive around the 17th. So.... maybe this guy was one of the new energy-provider scammers ?
Our bill is right up to date too. I did not pick up. Probably a scam to get you to switch to some other energy provider,. possibly one which does not exist (in an effort to get credit card #)
I received a call from this number while I was vacuuming & did not hear the phone ring. I've received calls from jcp&l in the past when we oops, missed a bill. I'm pretty sure caller ID comes up as jcp&l
