These people have called several times now, I've told them no but they keep calling to try and get an email address to send white papers to my boss... yeah... that's not happening, she doesn't want your crap!
They're Back!
Caller gave me five different pronunciations and spellings for a single person's last name all in the hopes they will get an email address for someone who doesn't exist (under any spelling) in our directories. And they claimed "boy are you stupid, s-t-o-o-p-i-d" (their spelling, not mine).
Had no one on the other line, but reading these has triggered memories of the "white paper" scam. I mostly told them that we have a provider and are not looking for another.
Called asking for someone with my last name but a different first name. I said no one by that name here. Then they asked if this was the name of a former company I'd been a part of. That call list must be 10 years old!! I told them that's old info and hung up. They called back again today.
yes, just took a call from an individual calling from this number. Clearly English as a second language because when I told her the person she was calling for didn't work here she said she'd call back later. Said she wanted to send an IT white paper via email. Junk call.
