The only way to STOP these annoying people is to tell them, sure, come on over to check my chimney and when they show up either don't answer the door or better yet, when they do show up, tell the person, Oh, I called and cancelled you because another company called me and will do the work for $20.00. If enough people do this we can put them out of business in a real hurry!

Lawrence Stuart is the company head. 1-888-520-1786 is their other number. i am filling a report with the Attorney Generals office for their HARASSING PHONE CALLS!!!!!!! 2 calls a day for weeks!!!!

I'm impressed by the contributors on "this" site where they take that extra step and try to ID these perps as opposed to those who blow a whistle into the phone, or even worse, rant on this site expecting the callers to stop.
I have several years of experience with this Chimney Company. They *are* located in Long Island NY but the listed address is an abandoned lot, formally an auto junk yard. The name Lawrence Stuart is also bogus as I've sent investigators to every known Stuart residence in Long Island NY and the dots don't connect. Hence the reason they can't be served!
This company is also registered to do business in NJ. I met with their registered agent last year, This company has not paid that agent in two years for his services and every time hes served with legal process, he wastes his time because Mr. Stuart and company cannot be found.
Jeana, the alleged office manager is believed to actually be "Lawrence Stuart", and runs the show. Although part of the sales pitch is to claim high ratings with the BBB and a 5 star members of the American Chimney Sweeps Association, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, it is the exact opposite.
Lastly, even the idea of letting them come out to your home is dangerous. First off, setting a sting by having law enforcement stand by will not work because local law enforcement has no jurisdiction over federal violations, which this company does. Trying to get the marshals service or other federal enforcement to sit and stake-out your home, well, your on a list behind more important things they claim they have to do. And even capturing the license plate on the rusty van they arrive in, will probably turn out to be an outdated plate belonging to someone else. And if you do allow the three men who will arrive at your home to perform their inspection and allegedly perform some work, make absolutely sure you have three family members attached at the hip to each one of them. If you blink, expect to be missing some valuables.
If they do perform any work at all, don't expect it to pass inspection and don't be surprised if they demand more money when they damage something.
This entity can be caught, but it will take some diligent effort other then venting here or worse, blowing a whistle into the phone. You need to subpoena phone records, call trace records etc., but by that time, these perps will close the suitcase, wait a week then open up next door under a new name. They personally may not know how to spell their own name or tie their shoes but they surly know how to work the system.
