I received a brochure in my bank statement that said that this could be a type of scam in that people who have ads in the paper for items will receive a call from someone wanting to purchase them, and will send a money order over the amount. They will then ask for you to mail them a check for the difference. Then they use your checking account number to set up a fradulent checking account and start writting check in another state against your account.
Called three times but the first two hung up. Third one I "GOT THEM". Market research firm that is home based in CA named Audatex. Very nice young lady is taking me off their list. They had to have gotten my phone number from my add in Cycletrader.com. Call 1-800-366-4237 and she will take you off the list. She is nice so be nice. :)

got 3 calls from that number in last 2 days, first was car sale advertisement, second was just quiet, third went to voicemail with some wierd music in it.
i called 800 "california" number from 2 posts above me and talked to the lady and she said she will email their "michigan" office and take me off the caller list.
