I got a text with the message as below. I have been getting same kind of message with different nos. They are asking for Debit Card No. How can we raise complaints on these guys.
"Your Community Driven Credit union account is closed due to unusual activity,call us at 734-217-4671"
ame text here. I also get the phone number 660-476-6630 or 877-275-1344. Always about some credit union account that is closed, deactivated, has suspicious activity, or some other nonsense.
I keep putting these numbers in the National Do Not Call Registry complaint line at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx. I'll also start forwarding all pertinent information to the FBI's Federal Taks Force of Internet Fraud (www.fbi.gov/majcases/fraud/internetschemes.htm)and to my local State House Consumer Protection bureau.
My husband, son, and I all received text messages on each of our phones to say GATEWAY BANK ALERT. Your CARD starting with 4138 has been DEACTIVATED. Please call: 252-202-4907. When we called this number it told us to enter our account number. None of us have an account with Gateway Bank. The three of us are on the same cell phone account with different cell phone numbers. This has to be some kind of scam. I wonder where this text message really came from, and how it came that the person sending the text message had access to all three of our cell phone numbers. My advice is, if you have an account with Gateway Bank, don't call, don't enter your account number. You should always know who you are calling before you give out your account number.
