Guy called and told me there were viruses on my computer that I couldn't see and I needed to log on to my computer to take care of it. I told him I was just on my computer and it was fine. He says, ok just go to sleep and I will come and [***] you then, and hung up. Seriously the most disturbing thing anyone has ever said to me. Stop these animals.
Caller ID Carl Nelson. I guess they are trying to make it sound as good old American as they can but ultimately fail when that Indian sounding accent pierces your nerves because you know it's yet another scam. Called this morning at 9am, from 'window's technical support' I don't have time to waist this morning just wasting his time so i just told him to stop talking because i knew he was not from window's technical support, and he hung up.
Just got a call from this number. ID said "Carl Nielsen." Caller claimed to be able to detect an infection in my computer. Claimed he could fix it. Fairly standard scam.
Thanks for all the info. Awhole called at 8:15 the morning. I haven't been on my computer since yesterday and I don't use Vindows lol. A total blow out for Carl. Our home phone not answered for 14 months but they never give up. They call even when their number is blocked. (Rings once then hangs up on them) lol, creatures from the black lagoon, one and all. May Karma give back many times their lying and criminal actions. They are about 2-3 years too late for this scam.
Keeps calling, when answered, he hangs up. When I call back, he does not answer.
