I got the following message from phone number 734-612-8890 160:
"CSCS ALERT: Your CARD ending in 4626 has been DEACTIVATED. Please call: 734-250-1848."
I don;t use this phone for any of my financial transactions, nor would I even think of calling it back. I must admit though, I did check my cards to see if any started with 4626 and none did. Best bet is to ignore the message completely.
I got a text message telling me that my credit card was no longer valid (which was true as I cancelled the card). I called the number back and received no reply.
The text message says : "YOUR CARD STARTING WITH 4626 HAS BEEN DEATICATED. PLEASE CALL 734-612-7509. WHEN YOU DIAL THE NUMBER A RECORDING ASK YOU TO ENTER YOUR 16 DIGIT ACCOUNT NUMBER WHICH I DID NOT)................ A DAY LATER WHEN I DIALED THE NUMBER I GET A RECORDING THAT SAYS yOUR CALL CAN NOT BE COMPLETED AS DIALED.
I THINK THIS IS A SCAM.............SOMEONE TRYING TO GET YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER
I got a text saying the exact same thing as written out by Fee-Fee... i was confused and decided to google the number and see exactly what business this was coming from.. I had a weird feeling and this just confirms it.. i hate that you can't trust ANYTHING anymore.. thanks for posting and helping me get to the bottom of this.
