Called numerous times for over a year for a person at work. He said his name was Officer Charles Green from law offices. (Cops don't call from a law office.) He said if the person did not call him back, the person would be arrested within a few hours.
Called both at work for me and at home for my wife. Threatened each of us with arrest and all sorts of legal problems. Sounded like some boiler room operation in the background. A fellow with a Scottish last name called, hard to fake a Scottish accent when you are from the Indian sub-continent. Having lunch with the County Prosecutor so I will hand the number over to him. I am sure the number was spoofed anyway.
I also received a call today from this # 743 619 7602. This was a lady with and Indian accent. Left a message on home phone basically threatening me that I would be arrested...
A person with and indian accent said i, and a friend of mine took out a loan and were delinquent on payments. the caller also stated police were on the way to arrest myself, my friend and my manager for stealing the money. i called the number back and he stated the same thing. i reported them. my friend filed a police report because somebody got some of his personal information and somehow got my name as well.
i have been getting these almost every day from various numbers. Their english is terrible and they get mad and yell at you when you say they are a scam. I jsut tell them they need to practice their american english and then hang up.
