A man with an accent from India called me. There was a delay in connecting so I know it was from a telemarketer type call center autodialer. He asked me how I was doing today. (He did not address me by name.) I said it was none of his business and asked him what he wanted. He said he didn't want anything. Then he asked me if I was at my computer right now. Oh crap one of THOSE scamsters. I told him that all of my phone#s were on the Do Not Call Registry and I didn't want anything from him. Then I hung up.

Excellent work! THAT is exactly how to handle these calls. Ask (1) Who they are (2) What is the name of the business (3) What do they want. Give them NO information, until they answer 1,2,3, & maybe not even then. They are after money & information.
