Grand Haven called me and made several attempts of trying to tell me I had possibly won a car, and five other prizes. I had this feeling at that time this was a scam. First, I don't remember signing up for any type of give-away. But then, he asked how much we made and then the alarm went off. This man all had all the right answers and you could tell it was rehearsed. Needless to say, I will not be going to his resort or whatever you may or may not call it.
I would just like to know first off how did they get my number and what can I do to stop them from calling me all hours of the day and night for free without having to pay a dime! This is frustrating as heck! I tried calling that number back and all I get is a busy signal.
Grand Haven 'resort' - claiming you are a semifinalist, come to the resort to check it out and claim your prize and chance for car/cash.
Apparently according to the above link to the ActiveRain blog, people who have taken the tour are given a chance to sign up friends/family who MIGHT be interested (and they won't say how they got your name). Or you just have goofy relatives that sign you up for crap just to do it- nice. If they got your number in this manner it does not qualify under Do Not Call Registry.
