There are a lot of reports in this forum and other forums about (757) numbers, which leads one to conclude that a major fraud ring is robo-calling on tie-lines using around 30 different spoofed and pirated numbers. This number, in particular, has been pirated from a private individual. The ring offers a wide range of scams and frauds, including the "yes" scam, oriented toward gaining personal data for identity theft purposes, and getting credit card numbers for fraudulent charges. Blocked, but expect these criminals to program their robo-callers to show yet another number.
When I answer an "unknown" number such as this, I remain silent. If it is a legit person, they will speak. Otherwise, the caller will terminate the call if a voice is not detected. I can then block that number.
