Got a call from them at 8:30 AM today. I said hello, waited, said hello again. I don't normally do this. I usually give the caller a few seconds to respond to my first hello then I hang up if no one responds. I guess I figured if someone was calling this early it might actually be important...A lady answered my second hello. I could barely understand what she was saying and had to ask twice who she was representing. It turned out to be a seller of diabetes supplies. I have asked these callers in the past not to call my number again. I did the same with this call, in an admittedly irritated voice, and was told "no problem". We'll see.

THIS IS "VAN RU CREDIT CORPORATION". THEY WORK FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATON. IF THEY ARE CALLING YOU IT IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE STUDENT LOANS IN DEFAULT. CALL THEM BACK AND SET UP A PAYMENT ARRANGMENT AND THEY WILL STOP CALLING YOU.
They are scamming you on the student loans. I get calls from this number for everything diabetes supplies to Cancun vacations. They have also called me with the student loan pitch. I no longer have student loans since August 2016. They are not legit. If you have student loans call the Dept of Ed in DC.
