Numerous prerecorded calls telling me to contact Credit Control Corp over medical bills which CCC says are not outstanding? Only way to identify caller is with caller Id.
Called mid-day I don't answer unknown numbers. They left a message on which they mutilated what I suppose I COULD assume was MEANT to be my name, so as instructed not being the person whose name THEY said. Deleted the message.
For those wondering... do not call these numbers back. They are leaving no, or unclear information so THAT YOU will call them. At which point they don't have a wrong or lucky guess number, they have an inbound call and they're off the hook for any unlisted or do-not-call list number infractions. You initiated a call TO THEM they can call you all day everyday. Also, say nothing. Never answer yes and no questions. There's a known scam where a system calls you, you say "yes" now they can make all sorts of purchases, confessions, and commitments on your behalf. Received a call today, looking for a name that could be my mom's name, but badly butchered. Lady said it's a collector about a debt. I am very suspicious about this because my mom only has a mortgage and one credit card from her bank, both of which have never been late and she received no communication from the bank about any past dues. Plus, why would they call my number instead of my mom's cell or her house. Thank you to all the warnings from previous posts.
