Travel Media. They got my number from a kiosk at a Lakers game at Staples Center. After walking in, there are these kiosks where you enter some information, including your phone number, and it tells you if your seat won anything. It's a pretty genius way to get folks to volunteer their number.
I use Google Voice for stuff like this, so I can block these and other numbers as they pop up.
I called this number back and they answered Teller Media. When I asked what type of company it was, the guy on the other end said "like I said its teller media". I asked how they got my phone number and he proceeded to say this call was being recorded and that I had attended a sports game concert media or public outing and that's how they got my number.
Good job. Your right but it's Travel Media not Teller Media. It's part of the "you've won two free tickets" bla bla bla. You just have to sit through a Timshare presentation. She went on to say I won because I went through a kiosk at a sporting or concert event. Some of these offers come by mail, some by phone but they are all the same:
