TL;DR - ARS a debt collection agency out in the Vista/Escondido area. They specialize in medical collections. A cold call came in, started with a recorded message, then a representative asked for me. Then she proceeded to ask me for personal information for "verification purposes". I told her I would not proceed until I knew who the company was and what they wanted. The rep refused to answer. I told the rep I would look them up. I found out it was a legit debt collector after legit debt. I did the research, so you don't have to.
