Absolute harassment every day. Finally blocked the number from ringing through, otherwise I would never find any peace. I feel powerless to stop this horrible harassment! Literally call throughout every day. I am on the DNC, but fear that this keeps the 'honest' companies at bay, but provides a valid number via the Do Not Call registry list for these dirt bag scammed to use. How do I stop them, or have harassment charges brought upon these nightmare dirt balls? I literally. Losing sleep constantly

Yet another poster who signed up for a government freebie, but was unable to understand what it really does, or why it was instituted. The Do Not Call Registry works well. It is your understanding of it that is faulty.

The DNC list is a LIST, subscribed to / purchased by legitimate telemarketers, so they know who not to call.

Fact: The FCC or FTC do not give or sell the list to unqualified recipients!
Fact: Telephone numbers on the Registry don’t expire. You do NOT have to re-register periodically.
Fact: Scammers and spammers ignore the DNC list .
Many use "war dialers" to quickly dial phone numbers. After all, phone numbers are just numbers, and are no secret! (Arabic numbers were invented about 500 AD, so even stupid scammers know about them by now).
Fact: The DNC list does not apply to NON-sales calls , such as political calls, charities, surveys, debt collectors and businesses with which you have done business with during the previous 18 months.
Fact: Spam callers can be blocked by getting a real call blocker .

I have been harrassed everyday for the past month, has anyone dealt with a mortgage banker recently? if my intuition is correct this is broker for mortgage loans, last time I got a call and they hung up i ended up texting just toi see what would happen in my text i used the name Andrew this was a person who was trying to get me toi Refinance my loan which I think he didnt want to take no for an answer. so when I mentioned his name on the text the calls did not happen on the entire day which is Thursday 8/23/17 so hopefully it worked?.we will see
