Hi I got a email from this man with the same name and saying I got a payday loan and they he gone sue and contact my job and take my checks. I've never got a loan before aand I'm 40. I'm not sure if the number he calls from because iI'm working alot so I turn my cell off but I listed the number that he put on the email. 541.249.0281 Leo Fernandez
I received a call from a man who advised that he was from morgan and associates law firm in california. He said he was an attorney and his name was leo fernandez. This was about a payday loan and if not paid by pre paid debt card then I would be arrested and a search warrant executed at my place of employment
Well I contacted the computer crimes unit for california, the california's governors office, the california bar association. And an attorney friend of mine. I found out that there is no such attorney ( leo fernandez ) in california. So all of you people who got scammed or almost scammed, not to worry, there is an open investigation against these scammers
I just got the same call! These people are nasty and rude and act like you really are a criminal. Its hard to understand what they are saying because of their heavy accents.
I also received numerous calls from this number. Stating that I opened a payday loan earlier this year. They also stated that the money was deposited into an account of a bank that I've never had an account with. They are scammers and they try to scare you with counts of fraud and a warrant for your arrest. I hope these people are found and prosecuted for doing this.
I recieved a call from this nomber today on my cell and then the number also called my place of employment. The person who called said that I needed to call them back stated his name was John Smith. When I asked for John Smith I was not so convinced that that was who I was talking to on the phone. I Tried asking this gentleman for information in reguards to the call and he stated that he could not give me an exact date for the deposit or a confirmation number. I told him that I would not be verifying any information until he started giving me some answers and he hung up on me so I called him back again and again he hung up on me. Now they wont answer my calls at all. Funny how they dont like it when you call them out on what they are doing wrong.
There was a message left on my machine from these scumbags. The person said his name was something Smith. I couldn't understand half the message due to the thick accent. When I called him back he said you are being sued for a debt. I said I don't think so, I have no knowledge of this and when i asked for additional info. he couldn't give me any. Just kept repeating that I was being sued and he was calling from some law firm (what kind of law firm hires people that can't speak English?) I told him I knew he was trying to pull some scam, and not to call back. Well he called back 3 more times. 2 times he hung up on the machine, the last time my husband picked up and told him not to call back or we will contact the police. He said haha I'll just keep calling. WTF.
