Received phone call and here's what they said:
"Someone has filed a complaint against you. If you want to find out the nature of this complaint, call 800 (couldn't get the number as I was driving) or press 9 and provide this ID number: asdlkfj (couldn't get number - again driving). The message repeated as I did nothing, then disconnected. I wonder if this is a debt collector trying to collect off a very old debt as I have no outstanding debts less than 7-8 years old.
Got the same phone call. When I called back the guy was RUDE. HE told me MY name and social security number! He said "you'll be getting a summons! See you in court!" Then hung up on me. I'm calling Life Lock to secure my SS#.
Got a call like this -- same description, "Someone has filed a complaint..." and they gave some reference number. The number they want you to call back is 888 958-5763 which even here has received multiple 'this is a debt collection scam' notices for. Other people have also reported rude replies, threats, and random hang-ups
