This person is trying to buy a pickup from me and only wants to use PayPal.
Says I can only use text to communicate.

Scammer, just tried to buy my Audi and also said can only use text.

Just texted me, saw this thread, oh well...FOOLS!!!!

Just got a text from this number wanting to buy my car sight unseen using paypal.  I told them I was reporting them to the police

This person will only text late night or early am. Won't use the old fashion way of calling in person at a decent hour.
