I receive threatening calls from this number daily on my personal cell phone for a person named Nicholas. I've asked countless times to have my number removed. Today I get a LOUD threatening call that they are coming to my home or business to serve me - the call was heard by all in my business office. Aren't these tactics illegal? Glad I am not Nicholas.
No legitimate debt collector is going to threaten to appear at your business. What it is is a thief posing as a debt collector, hoping to scare you out of money. Since debt collection is not covered by the no call list, con artists use it to try and steal from you. A thief is not going to care about what's legal, or illegal, and you can expect to see no one. You'll often get a threat if the caller gets any kind of answer from the numbers they call. Without one, they have no way to do it.
Person said they were coming to my place of employment and home to serve me on a debt I owe. I do not have any outstanding debts. It is a scam. Not even using my legal name but using a nickname. Very scary when you get the call though. If I did have outstanding debts, I would have thought they were serious. However, a person serving court papers only gets paid if the papers are served, so why tell someone in advance, unless you're intent is to intimidate.
Called and left a voicemail to Tomas R... same last name however wrong first name. Caller said he is calling from processing department and there is a problem with my order and they cannot process my order and they would be pursuing me at my place of employment. However, I have the right to file a claim or complaint, but at the location I am at I forfeit the right. Then they give me a case and contact number to call. Called local Police department and they said to ignore it as scam.
