I wish I'd googled this number before I answered the phone.
Company trying to "verify" all my information about a magazine to take me OFF their call list and even trying to give me "code" to "protect" myself from other companies
... BOY are they fast talkers. Before I knew it, it was almost too late that I almost gave them real personal information. Now the new line of "we sent you in the mail information" is now "we WILL be sending you the information in the mail"

Received unknown call today, 11/13/07 at 7:03 p.m. Asked for me by my middle name. No idea how they obtained my middle name. Informed caller person did not live here and hung-up.
Recieved a call from this number yesterday. Same as blkmyrth. Got the so called supervisor and she started asking questions about my account. After she asked if the guy before her was polite she started asking to verify my info. She kept saying she already had the info on file. When she asked about the bank I use, she had the wrong city. She then asked to verify my bank account number. I told her that if she had the info already, to tell me and I would tell her if it was correct. She repeated that she already had the info on file and just wanted to verify it. I then asked her what company she was with again and she just said "the publishers". When I asked her "what publishers" she hung up.
