We just got a call and a hang up from this number. 'Philip Tremble' asked for our owner, and as the owner I said to please hold, when the phone was muted it was immediately hung up. No idea where 'Philip' was calling from.
"Marvin" called asking for information about our company. I asked who he was, he said he was not at liberty to say and asked for the name of the owner. I told him I was not at liberty to say and he hung up.
Just got a phone call fom this number, I answered, he asked if this was "my name" I repled, "yes, it is" and he said Thank you and hung up in my ear. Have no clue who in the hec they are and hope who ever it is never calls again.
This number called and left no message. I called it back and got an automated message saying it was from "Community Welfare Services" and they called because they're conducting a fundraising drive in my area. Then the sob story about how they survive based solely on our generosity, yadda yadda yadda, and never once did they divulge which cause they are "fundraising" for. Sounds like a phishing scam to me.
Got a very suspicious call from this number tonight - the guy hung up on me when I told him my wife was unavailable and had asked him who was calling. I will be phoning the police in the morning.
When I called the number back I got the message much like CC in the post above.
