On this day, it was a very tech-savvy marketer, NewsMax.
But I do not believe they REALLY called me from that number (763-280-5293).
Because robo-callers who spend enough money on their system can make the caller-id read ANYTHING.
I believe they called from Florida. they choose a number, (probably one that is currently
NOT in service) within my local code to make it more likely I would answer.
OTHER robo callers might sometimes use that same number for other purposes.
Or maybe there is a robo-call service that makes calls on behalf of dozens of junk marketers.
The reason I know about THIS call on this day, is they called my Google Voice number.
I have screening turned on, so GV allowed me to hear 2 seconds of the caller's computer-automated robo-speech
and decide if I wanted to answer.
I heard enough to hear "NewsMax", so I hung up so that Google Voice would not answer it.
I know of NewsMax, because they are always trying to 'up-sell' more stuff to me via email, but that never works.
I always ignore that.
So it seems obvious they looked up my listed 'home phone' number, and now they are calling that to make another sale.
NewsMax is in Florida. They called once before (15 days ago) and I did not answer that time either.
On THAT date, they used a DIFFERENT faked MN caller-id number (651-583-7230).
At THAT time, I recorded their full robo-recording, which was:
"Hello, this is NewsMax Media with some great news regarding your account, please call today. At (561) 886-1050.
Again, the number is (561) 886-1050. We're looking forward to hearing from you."

Fifteen days ago, after seeing that message in my GV mailbox, I put the first number they called from
into my black-list, so it could never ring my phone again. I see it took 15 days for them to abandon that first
faked MN caller-id, and switch it to reporting a different one.
