Said they were trying to "reach out" to customers this time of year. Sounded legit, but poorly managed.

I had AARP Health Supplement to Medicare for a few years when I became eligible for Medicare. Their rates kept going up to epic proportions. I finally dropped them and went to a lower rate with a reputable company. AARP kept calling me asking me to stay with them. Why would I stay with them when they charged $200 and $300 more than the next company, all for the very same benefits.
