i got a call from this # 763-515-8174 also, i missed the call and called it back with in a few minutes and a lady answered and told me she was calling about an old bank account that i still owed money on. funny thing was i had 2 weeks ago just paid this off and have the letter stating that it was paid in full. she asked me to find that and call her back today, so i found the letter and tried to call her back and now i get a message saying the number is diconected or no longer in service!!!
i called the company back that i had paid my account off with and made sure it was a for real company after this lol and it was all good!!
This is a SCAM call. The recording suggests a collection agency, but it's nothing more than a scam trying to convince you owe an old bad debt. They will ask for your credit card number, your checking account number or another form of money.
They use a Fake Caller ID phone number that is created through the internet with a computer and software. it's called SPOOFING.

The message gave a fictitious business name that sounded like Hoston Financial Services. They claim they represent a client and that you can add your statement to a final demand. All frivolous fake speak.
The recording said my account number with them is 1861824

I pressed zero and got some idiot who didn't identify himself or the company name. First sign of a scammer. I asked for his phone number and extension. He gave 877-686-6473 / (877) 686-6473 Ext 743.
this # 763 515 8174 has called my cell many times leaving no message. i tried calling the number back and no answer. i have had worse where they have called all my family members leaving a message looking for me. a family member (who is in law enforcement checked it out. I was told nothing really much to do but ignore it.-easier said than done.

so i called the 2 #'s that were in the first post (1-866-744-5641) and that one was disconected also just like the 763 number, so i tried the second number (1-877-686-6473) and the company name is halsted finacial, they are a for real collection agency. i talked to a couple people at this place (the guy who answered and then his supervisor) i emailed them my proof of paying my account off with another company and he said that what happens is that sometimes if the origanal company is not getting the money from one collector they send it to another until it gets taken care of.
