I also keep getting prank calls from this number and other MN numbers. When i pick up they either giggle or pant then hang up. Sounds like some idiot who needs a life.
called me twice claiming to want to reduce my magazine payments. Sounded pretty dumb. So this clam that calls himself "Ray" asks to confirm my address. Since he has my address, i confirm, this is open source. I lie about my age when he asks then asks if i am married which i refuse to answer.
He then says he will transfer me to his supervisor (also asked that I put a good word in for him). So supervisor finally gets on after 30 second hold with weird music and asks me 2 questions that i don't answer then hangs up.
This number called me and asked for my friend. I asked who it was and the woman on the other end said...."oh [***]...oh no" then hung up on me. I have tried calling it back several times and they will not answer or it is busy.
Called my cell phone. I answered and they hung up. I looked up the number on google and the first thing I saw was that it was from minnesota. A friend recently moved there so I called the number back and got a recording that the number was no longer in service. Seems as if thy want to bother me by calling yet do not want to receive calls. Idiots.
There must be some big scam outfit up there in Minnesota, and I think they're connected with the 320-252-0523 calls (also in Minnesota) about the same thing - magazines and your personal information. They are trying to get you to divulge anything personal they can use or steal from you. I've been called by both numbers 2 days in a row now. Next time, I feel like answering, acting stupid and giving them a bunch of bogus info - just to waste their time and monetary resources as much as they are ours.
I'm trying to figure out what mailing list they bought or hacked to get our cell numbers. I've ordered from Meaningful Beauty, Swivel Store, Old Navy and Shoes.com recently. Have any of you, too? Perhaps we can narrow it down, ha! Then, pitch a fit to whatever company sold or allowed them our info.
