Had a customer call stating someone from our company called them (said his last name was Rodriguez) stating that they owed a delinquent bill and services would be suspended if they did not make a payment. Asked customer for credit card information. This is also for a utility company.
THIS NUMBER WAS REPORTED TO THE DAVENPORT IOWA POLICE DEPARTMENT WHERE THE CALLED STATED THEY WERE A REPRESENTATIBE TO MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY TELLING THE PERSON THEY WERE DELINQUENT ON THEIR BILL AND THEY NEEDED TO GET A MONEY ORER AND SEND IT TO THE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND THEN ASKED FOR A CHECKING ACCOUNT NUMBER. THIS WAS A FRAUDULENT CALLER!
