I got two calls from this number today, and they said they were collected for disabled veterans. The name of the charity they were supposedly collecting for is American Veterans Assistance Foundation. From Google searches, this is a fraudulent charity.
Received several calls while out of town, no message tonight answered call (rep said it was for the Make A Wish Foundation that came in at 9:00 which is a violation of FCC telemarketiner rules. Reported them. I feel bad that it's Make a Wish since I do support them but they are using the wrong company to do their outbound calls!!!
Yes, this number is for the Make-A-Wish Foundation! They are trying to get you to make a pledge to help with the wishes of dying children. You tell them what you want to pledge and they send you the pledge kit and you just mail in your check or money order! They are not scams,I have done this several times before! You don't have to give a credit card over the phone!
