It says on caller ID GOV STIMULUS..has anyone tried calling. i won't waste my minutes or money on these idiots who don't have the common courtesy to even leave a message!!!
Didn't pick up and no message left. Caller ID had STACY JO SILVER... ha!
Figured for a spoofed number, but after viewing here, I decided to call back- It robo answered a thank you for calling, and said if I wanted to be put on their DNC list to press "1"... What the heck?!? I still don't know who they really are.
Pressed 1 and it said it would take 24 hrs to be updated- Many of these will either recognize the number and verify it back upon promoting to their DNC, or request that you input the number with your keypad that you wish to have on their DNC. I don't figure that either one will help, since they just rotate to another number to call you from, or resell the number to some other robo-caller. The latter is most likely if you actually put in a number.
Just a thought... if i get one those latter, I'll get my list of favorite DNA (Do Not Answer) callers and start inputting their numbers. Maybe the feedback loop will cause them to implode!
