received text saying they know me, I aske dwho it was, they said I'd have to login to Yahoo messenger and add them to fund out. "Textiewoman972" is who they said they were.

This is a scam. They are rerouting through U.S. based #s, but many of these "callers" are from India or other countries, looking for people to victimize or use as mules for other purposes. My coworker was conned into accepting packages from one person and sending them to another, for which he received $, but truth is, he was a drug/weapons/money laundering mule who took the majority of the risk, sending packages from the US to "poor people" in Africa. He never asked questions, but who would, if someone offers you $1000 to send TVs to people.... as if people in Africa can't obtain old TVs to fix for their start up business - hahahaha...
