Yes it is strange. I am in Ga and the 770 area. When I looked the number up it said invalid. I could be wrong, but I don't think any phone numbers can have a zero in the first number of the 3 digit prefix. I think that's why it shows to be invalid.
Just got a call from this number - caller ID said "name not found" - "Nicole" claimed to be in my area giving away GE wireless home security systems. Hard to break into her spiel - finally asked "is this a robot" & she said noooo. Told her not to call & hung up. I do block a lot of these numbers, but these thieves & scum will be back with a different spoofed number next week. Or tomorrow.
I no longer give out my landline number - instead I've been using a Google voice number set so that callers have to announce themselves before it will ring through, which has cut down the number of these crap calls a lot, but this one came in on my regular landline, which unfortunately is a listed number. Guess they got it either from the phone book listing or from an old list they bought.
My turn in Atlanta. Saw the number, looked it up here, blocked it by the third ring, problem solved. I highly recommend a call blocker box - ours has a 1,500 number memory, plenty of room left. To y'all on this blog - THANKS for contributing.
"Name Unavailable" calls are NEVER answered here, but that does not stop them from calling the next day and every day thereafter. What is wrong with these people?

just received a call from this 770 0245698. I am like most of you this is going to be a scam. we were told that it was GE monitoring. after telling the guy we did not want his service he became very belligerent, foul-mouthed, and believe it or not threatening. once we have contacted GE monitoringI will try to post more.
