I've been getting calls all week stating, "Hi, this is <insert different name everytime> calling from the offices of John Berger for <insert CEO name here>. Will you please transfer me to him?"
When challenged with the fact that Mr. Berger has a different assistant each time they call, and what exactly does Mr. Berger want to speak to our CEO about, they fumble all over themselves and don't know what to say. Then I tell them unless they have more information I won't be transferring them to anybody. Each time they say, "I will get more information and call you back." Then they call back, next day same conversation.

Another heavily accented person asking for someone who hasn't worked here in years. I get similar calls from multiple numbers and when they ask for someone they clearly don't know, I just hang up on them and put them on my "do not answer" list.
