Some goof with a real bad accent called me from this number. He said "man why spee to do own house?" At that point I just pressed Call Block on my phone, which blocked the call and hung up. I love my new phone! However, now that I see it was a PC scam, I should have blow-horned him before I did that :)
How do these morons make a living? These fools, with their very heavy Hispanic accents, have been calling my land line randomly for a year or more, insisting my computer is in trouble. At first, I was dumb enough to argue with them but they only kept repeating themselves & talking over me. I'm sure that just encouraged them to keep calling back. Not answering made no difference either, they'd only increase the number of daily phone calls. Finally, I began speaking to them in German & acted as tho I didn't understand anything they were saying. They hung up on me but called back a short time later & I did the very same thing. Believe it or not, they stopped calling me for several months!
But these A--h---s are so stupid, they actually believe that harassing me endlessly is the "honey" that will entice me to become as dumb as they are & cause me to give in to whatever they're "selling" (although I've never gotten that far in any "conversation").
Anyway, you guessed it, a few months ago the calls began once again. I immediately interrupted and said I don't own any computers. He tried to tell me some BS that all of my home electronic equipment operates thru online connections & is also "affected". I nixed that too by telling him I'm a disabled widow on a fixed income & in poor health with many medical expenses. I live alone & have no other resources to afford all the electronic things he was insisting I had. I wanted to tell him to quit calling & bothering me, but he hung up on me before I could finish with my sob story. The sad part is, most of what I told him is the truth (I do have 2 very old Mac computers & they never give me a lick of trouble). Since then, I only receive a call from these nuts about every 2-3 weeks, but as soon as I start my story, they hang up on me! :-)
They called me about an hour ago, but this time all I heard was a few Spanish words between a man and woman as they were laughing, (with a lot of people in the background). It lasted about 10 seconds before they hung up.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my 95% truthful story has won out over these lazy cockroaches who deserve to be rotting away in some forgotten lonely jail cell.
